In October 2023, NTT e-Asia Corporation (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO Mr. Takashi Ebihara; hereinafter “NTT e-Asia”) purchased the shares of OCG Technology JSC※1(Hanoi, Vietnam, CEO Mr. Akira Watanabe; hereinafter “OCG”) to make it a consolidated subsidiary (from 49% to 99.5% shareholding) in order to make it an expansion base for the NTT East Group’s software development system.
※1: Established in 2016 as a joint venture between Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group, a Vietnamese telecommunications operator, and NTT e-Asia
NTT e-Asia established the Digital Promotion Department in October 2021 and has been promoting software development to support each business within NTT East Group. This department has also been aiming for the realization of NTT East Group’s Purpose, “Co- creation of a Community-based Recycling Society※2.
In addition, OCG has been focusing on OutSystems, an LCP※3,4 from the viewpoint of enhancing agility and optimizing costs, and has been training engineers specializing in OutSystems and building up a track record of projects.
In October 2023, NTT e-Asia made OCG a consolidated subsidiary, aiming for more efficient and timely software development, in response to the need to accelerate the provision of services and business development to local communities as NTT East Group promotes social innovation in Japan and Southeast Asian countries.
In the future, we aim to further promote social innovation in Japan and abroad by strengthening cooperation with various business partners.
